The misfortunes of these two men have been fortuitous for me. Instead of moving twice in one month, driving an hour to and an hour from work everyday for a month, and stressing about my hyperactive dog coexisting with my elderly grandfather, I get to stay in my own house until I leave for Oregon at the end of June. The only drawback is that I will continue to live an hour away from my family, instead of the fifteen minutes away it would be from my grandfather's house.
In preparation for moving in with my grandfather I had already donated box after box to AmVets and packed much of what I am keeping. Packing is the only aspect of this move I for which I feel somewhat prepared. A few snafus with the paperwork mean I still haven't given my deposit and signed to hold the apartment. I'm very concerned about my transfer papers being processed at work because both my manager and HR representative are going on vacation this week. My car needs new tires, a front end alignment, and a checkup. I should be looking into hotels for the trip, but without my transfer work completed and last day set, I'm hesitant to do so. I'm going to need to change banks because my current bank doesn't have branches in Oregon.
It's all just a tad stressful, but I'm grateful that I get to live in my own home while I deal with it.
